1. Educational Qualification

An applicant must satisfy at least one of the following three options:

  • Option A: Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board or University.
  • Option B: Passed Matriculation AND possess a 1 or 2-year ITI Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology (IT) or IT-Enabled Services (ITES).
  • Option C: Passed a 3-year Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or IT from a Polytechnic approved by AICTE.

3. Exam Pattern (CBT)

The selection process consists of two written papers conducted via a Computer Based Test (CBT).

4. Subject-Wise Syllabus

Paper I: General Aptitude

  • HP GK (30 Marks): History, Geography, Culture, and Economy of Himachal.
  • National/International GK (30 Marks): Current Affairs, Indian Polity, and Science.
  • English (20 Marks): Grammar, Synonyms/Antonyms, and Comprehension (10+2 Level).
  • Hindi (20 Marks): Grammar, Sandhi, and Vocabulary (Matric Level).

Paper II: Subject Aptitude (IT/Computer)

  • Core Fundamentals: Hardware, Software, Operating Systems (Windows/Linux).
  • MS Office: Detailed knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Networking: OSI Model, TCP/IP, Internet protocols, and Cyber Security.
  • Programming & Web: HTML, CSS, SQL, and basic Logic Gates.

5. Minimum Qualifying Marks
